  • Eastern State Penitentiary
A redesign of the the Eastern State Penitentiary, in Philadelphia, as an interpretive museum.

The exhibit “Redemption and Reality” tells the story of an American idealism and its clash with the realities of a changing society, by walking the visitor through the history penitentiary. It attempts to draw parallels between the history of the penitentiary itself and a history an American philosophy.

The exhibit will bring the visitor into the world of the penitentiary in its various stages. The exhibit’s goal is to create excitement and spur curiosity though the exploration of both the content and the building itself.

Through this journey visitors are meant to see the past, not as something exhausted, but as living today.
